the moment you drive onto the property, you experience golf
at its best! The staff went out of their way to accommodate
us. From the pro shop to the tee box the beauty of the
course was in full bloom. The fairways are like carpet and
the greens are in great shape. GREAT JOB Salisbury!
Country Club of Virginia, West Hampton Course 98/100
One of the best rounds in Richmond. Beautiful
fairways and greens.
Great course! Fairways are in great shape but the
greens were not in my favor that day. Pro Richard Smith is
exceptional and very knowledgeable.
The Federal Club, Federal Club 18 Course 96/100
The Federal Club has the best fairways in Richmond.
When you walk, you can feel the 2 inches of carpet under
your feet. The greens are managed well. Limited pro shop.
Please call to make a tee time, public greens fees available
for a limited time.Willow Oaks Country Club, Willow Oaks Course 96/100 One of the best rounds in Richmond. Beautiful
fairways and greens.Kinloch Golf Club, Kinloch Course 96/100 The course is a championship course with
excellent challenges. Bring extra balls if handicap is over

Hunting Hawk Golf Club, Hunting Hawk Course 96/100
This course made the 2010 Top 10 GR list because of
the appeal of the facility. Great ground maintenance and
staff. Great professional instructor. Course is playable
from both sides of the spectrum as a beginner can still have
a great round. The driving range is great to work out clubs,
figure distance and try new clubs from the pro shop. A great
Round!
Brandermill Country Club, Brandermill Course 95/100
One of the best rounds in Richmond Va. Very
beautiful property with great challenging holes.
Jefferson Lakeside Country Club, Jefferson Lakeside
Course 95/100
Course is maintained well. Staff is very
respectable and courteous.
The Tradition Golf Club At The Crossings, Crossings
Course 95/100
Carl is a pleasure to work with! Awesome course with plenty
of challenges around every corner.
Independence Golf Club, Championship Course 95/100
Too expensive considering its the home of the VSGA.
The idea of bringing golf to more people does not make sense
charging that much. The only reason we gave a 4 star rating
is because of the course.

Birkdale Golf and Country Club, Birkdale Course 92/100
One of the best rounds in Richmond Va. Great Course. Very
Professional.
Belmont Golf Course, Belmont Course 90/100
OK course, not very fond of this golf course. The staff seem
to have something better to do then to help you. Course is
ok. Only problem we had was the friendliness of the staff.
This is a great driving range and Short course. Staff is
very friendly and price is competitive. Hard to see from
main road. You have to know where this place is to enjoy it!
Kind of like a private public club. We here at GR absolutely
love this place!!!
Providence Golf Course, Providence Course 88/100
The course is challenging but the grass needs to be cut
along the fairways. 5" Rough? Measured on 3 different
occasions. Even if you hit a beautiful drive and it trickles
in the rough, good luck finding your ball 12 inches off the
fairway. Over priced snack bar but price for golf is fair.Glenwood Golf Club, Glenwood Course 87/100
This is an old course that plays well. The course could be
maintained better. Staff not very friendly.
Meadowbrook Country Club, Meadowbrook Course 87/100
Fairways and greens have some rough spots but play is very
challenging.
The First Tee of Chesterfield, Chesterfield Course
87/100
Great course for kids. Great instructors.
River's Bend Golf Club, River's Bend Course 84/100
Great course for anyone! Some issues could be worked on but
the staff is AWESOME!
Windy Hill Sports
Complex, Lakes Course 84/100
Great Pro Shop. Great Instructors. Par 3 Course is an
excellent short game challenge. The tee boxes on the lake
course could use some work. Very hard. Course is very narrow
and is challenging to a player with a massive hook or slice.

Sycamore Creek Golf Course, Sycamore Creek Course 84/100
Course is very challenging. Staff is polite and
professional. Some course work needs to be done. Good course
for the money.
The Hollows Golf Club 80/100
The 3 star rating was given because the low score of the
staff. Great Course on the edge of expensive. Maybe try to work
on your price to entice people to travel all the way out there.
